  净饲料效率高的父母代的后代在实际饲料采食量、净饲料采食量、饲料转化效率和脂肪厚度均低于净饲料效率低的父母所产的后代。在平均日增重或365天体重均差异;而关于脂肪厚度的不同,由于这一性状的潜在的基因和别的性状的基因存在对抗作用,例如大理石花纹和繁殖效率存在对抗一样,这就保证了今后会有更深入的研究。
